St Mary’s Church in Rowner has been a part of local history for over 1000 years. Come and visit this hidden gem, a Grade 1 Listed church.
St Mary’s Church is one of the oldest buildings in this local area. The church is mentioned in the Domesday Book and as such is really worth a visit!
You will be able to take part in a self-guided tour of the old church consisting of the Prideaux-Brune chapel and the Lady chapel, and see how we are using the space as well as the modern extension built in the 1990s after a fire.
There will be a children’s activity sheet too for our younger visitors.

If you are wanting to spend time in the churchyard before or after your visit, please be aware the paths are uneven and have a loose gravel surface. Bug spray would be a bonus.
The church is set back from the road, Rowner Lane, situated opposite Grange School. There is a sign on the front lawn and at the entrance to the car park.
